A Snellville police officer stopped a vehicle for having no insurance and suspended registration at the Quik-Trip on Scenic Hwy/124. The officer also noticed the driver had an open drink container on the passenger door panel. The driver was found to have a suspended license and was placed under arrest. There was another open container under the front seat.
A jewelry box containing methamphetamine, marijuana, Klonopin and drug paraphernalia was found. The driver was charged with several drug offenses and the vehicle seized by police. In addition, it was determined that the driver was a burglary suspect. The officer obtained a search warrant for the vehicle, and items recovered from the search led to the driver being charged with theft and 2 burglary offenses.
